Juan Gil 18 Meses
€53.20 TTC /L
The vines of Juan Gil 18 Meses are over 40 years old and are planted at an altitude of 700 meters. The soil, composed of sand and limestone, is very poor. The climate is very dry, with little precipitation. Hot summers and long, cold winters. Harvesting is done manually.
The 18 months in French and American barrels gave this wine the complexity and structure of the bottles which will benefit from maturing for a few years in the cellars of the most patient among us. This time necessary for the elegant and round expression of its noble tannins.
Tasting notes: Ripe black fruit dominates, which nevertheless plays a fair role alongside roasted, cocoa and spicy notes.
Tasting temperature: Serve at 15-17°C
Pairings: Red meats, game, duck breast
